I am a big Doctor Who fan, it’s a fact!  Until recently my Who dreams were simple, to watch Doctor Who, read about Doctor Who, talk about Doctor Who and, above all else, to enjoy Doctor Who.

That all changed when I won competition in 2009 on the BBC 1 television series Tonight’s the Night, hosted by the legend John Barrowman.

The Tonight’s the Night Alien Talent Search was a competition where entrants had to devise a new alien for Doctor Who complete with a name, home planet and backstory.  Not only did you have to design the alien but actually make the costume and send in a photo of yourself wearing it.

The top 30 entrants were then invited down to London to compete in the finals of the competition in front of an all star judging panel.

The winner was given a once in a lifetime prize....to star in their own scene filmed on the set of the TARDIS.
