the final three

It was at this point I thought that maybe there was a chance I could win this. We waited briefly whilst the production team went over our statements again.  I knew the competition was good, very good.  To be in the final three was amazing and I thought if I went out now then I wouldn’t mind.

I was first to go with my statement.  Reciting it exactly how I wanted I bemoaned the human kind, said I wasn’t scared of The Doctor and demanded they not exterminate me because they needed me more than I needed them.  The other two followed and they were both very good.  The final alien, instead of promoting herself, rounded on us.  This prompted the panel to ask myself and the second alien to say another statement, but this time aiming at the other aliens.  Well, that was interesting!  An improvised piece right there and then, without any preparation.  I loved it!

We stood there in silence as the panel reached their decision.  They spoke to each of us and gave their verdict which was nice to hear.  We were all good for different reasons.  There was a moment of silence and then John read out my name.  It was a weird feeling, I think I reacted, but can’t really remember.  I do know I was just overwhelmed.  Congratulating the other two finalists, I was then left in the studio with the panel.  They asked me to film a longer reaction to winning, this time I was a bit more with it and celebrated.  After that, I de-masked and finally got to chat with the panel as myself.  They were all very nice and many jokes were made about the chicken fillets!

Guess what?  More interviews followed.  By this time I was shattered and the team had to keep reminding me to be excited….hey it was a crazy time!  After that there was the comedy scene with my girlfriend in the studio then more chats with the production staff, before I released from the BBC a dazed but very excited alien.
